Playing back at his old regular venue, Java Joes, Jason did an amazing set to his home town regulars. Up until last may, Jason played every thursday at Java Joes for about three years. Last may, he stoped to go record his major label debut on Elektra records. He will be opening for Jewel during her summer tour, and he will also be playing on a side stage at the three Dave Matthews Band shows in Seattle at the Gorge. His major label debut album comes out October 15, 2002. Also, acording to Jason, this day was the first day he did not wear a hat from the second he woke up, as he normally does.

Great early Java Joes show
This was my first recording, and i think it turned out pretty well. Even though the tape flip was fumbled, and the whole 'mic in' thing, i think it went alright. Lots of early stuff here, and jason didn't do any of his Elektra material, even though he had recorded the CD at this point. Bushwalla makes an apearance, and it is one of Aaron Liebowitz's first shows with the band. Good times!

great stories, great music
The night is filled with lots of great stories, and great music with unique twists. It's all topped off by an appearance by Bushwalla, always a good thing. You can here the faint clinking of glasses, not loud enough to be distracting, but instead adding to the feeling that you are right there. A great show, unfortunately, one of the last at Java Joe's.
